Building Communities for a Better Tomorrow

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Festival Foundation is to showcase the strengths of the community by developing  world-class community celebrations that raise revenue exclusively for local charities. Our neighborhood festivals are designed to unite residents for a celebration of arts and culture while presenting the attendees with an array of exciting entertainment.

The objective of the Festival Foundation is to enable non-profits to participate in our events and/or apply each season for a grant.  Participation in our models provides the not-for-profit organization with revenue generating opportunities in exchange of  staffing of select elements at the event.

Our charity partners participate in the success of the event that enhances the economic vitality of the surrounding area while providing a great vehicle to build awareness of each partnering charity.

“God Bless you for your kindness and generosity. May the Lord of the Church bless you even as you have been a blessing to us.” – Church of Saint Luke -

Making Grass Roots GREENER: Grant applications will be available to all area not-for-profits. The Festival Foundation provides an opportunity for local non-profits to receive revenue raised at the Event by participation in our fundraising programs and grant applications. Non-profits will be allowed to file an application each season for committee review. Each recipient will be required to participate in select activities designed to generate more revenue for their organization and the event. Responsibilities may include: staffing an entrance point, selling products, assisting with logistics, and a variety of other event-related tasks.

“Lakeview Pantry appreciates Festival Foundation’s wonderful community events which enhance the economic vitality of the surrounding area, and support the residents of the community by funding area non-profits.” – Lakeview Pantry -

Building Communities: If chosen as a grant recipient, each entity is offered an opportunity to participate in the event while showcasing their services to all attendees. The charity is designated a percentage of the proceeds or flat rate in advance of the event by a committee of prominent local residents, businessmen, and local officials. This creates an incentive to assist in the marketing and success of the event. All proceeds will go directly to local charities! This is a strong commitment to our neighborhoods providing financial assistance to non-profits.

“Your commitment to the Lake View YMCA helps us provide services to youth, adults and families, regardless of their ability to pay.” – Lake View YMCA -

Event Ownership: The longevity of the event will be in the hands of the community! Each city, township, or ward will be given the opportunity to dictate the dates, location, duration, and content of each event. Options will be given and suggestions taken for the Event from all residents interested in involvement. Interactive forms will be made available on the Foundation’s website to allow for easy access by all residents. This way the community truly had control of the impact of each festival.

“Your gift is greatly appreciated and does make a difference in strengthening the excellence by which the University is nationally and internationally known.” – University of Illinois Foundation -

Their staff has over 50 years of event experience, and has generated over $4 million dollars for charities throughout the mid-west. They specialize in family entertainment, main stage talent, art fairs, logistics, marketing, and all other details of event planning.

“You are providing a valuable service to the Lakeview Community.” – St. Alphonsus Church -

Foundation Grant Awards: Community officials and neighborhood representatives are selected to be a part of each review committee. This committee are derived of well respected people dedicated to the community. Each committee member servies a minimum of one season for the Festival Foundation, and assists us in deciding who participates in the fundraising models of each event.
